Aberlour Youth Point

  • Intensive Community Support Service supports young people 12-18years to overcome difficulties at home, school and in the community. Requests for support from this service can only be made by the Social Work Department.
  • Mentoring and Group Work Service matches volunteers with young people who would benefit from extra support. Young people may need extra support from our Young People’s Worker 1:1 or group work if they struggle to make and sustain friendships or are at risk of social exclusion. Our mentors give them someone to talk to about their worries, allowing them to practice their social skills. The mentoring service supports young people aged 12-25. Anyone can make referrals to our Mentoring and Group Work Service

Children 1st

Children 1st provide support for children, young people and families who have experienced traumatic life events. They can also support you to voice your views through their advocacy service for children and young people to promote their rights.  Children 1st help them represent their views or, do it on their behalf. You can refer yourself or a professional working with you can make a referral.

Cruse Bereavement Care

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people in Scotland.  Providing information, advice and support when someone dies. They also have a helpline that you can contact for support.

Families Outside

Families Outside provides both practical and emotional support for families who have a loved one caught up within the criminal justice system, for example if you have a family member going to court, in prison or due to be released from prison. You can contact their helpline directly for advice or you can be referred by a professional working with you.

Findhorn Bay Arts – In The Mix

Findhorn Bay Arts – In The Mix offers creative projects for young people aged 12 to 25 years old who are experiencing isolation, out of work or school, at risk of offending and/or living in rural area. Activities can be delivered on a 1:1 basis or to groups. A professional working with you has to refer you to this service.

Grampian Child Bereavement Network  

Grampian Child Bereavement Network provides information and support following bereavement. Your parents or a professional working with you can contact the service for support.

MOD Welfare Service

The MOD Welfare services provides support, advice and signposting to health assured counselling for families, children and young people in the MOD. You can contact the welfare service yourself on AWS-Welfareinformationservice@mod.uk.

Moray Rape Crisis

Moray Rape Crisis provide support and information for people 11 years old and over who have been affected by sexual violence. You can contact the service or a professional working with you can make a referral.

Moray Women’s Aid                            

Moray Women’s Aid offer support to women and children and young people affected by domestic abuse. You can refer yourself if you are 13 years old or over or a professional who is working with you can make a referral. Moray Women’s Aid also have a confidential telephone helpline.

Quarriers Carers Support Service (Moray):

The service provides support and advice to young and adult unpaid carers in Moray looking after a friend, neighbour or relative who can’t look after themselves due to frailty, illness, disability, mental health issues or substance use.

Barnardo’s Works

‘Barnardo’s Works’ with young people in Moray aged 16 – 24 years to explore their strengths, skills and qualities.  Young people can receive one to one support or work in a group training/setting. We source work experience for the young people and mentor them to achieve success in gaining employment.
