Specialist Behaviours Support in Moray

 

This type of support is provided by organisations that are aimed at addressing specific topics, such as substance use, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, gambling , gaming , love and sex dependencies and eating disorders.

Arrows provides:

  • assessment and support for Adults experiencing substance or alcohol misuse
  • direct access for Moray Integrated Drug and Alcohol Service
  • recovery support, one to one and group
  • harm reduction advice
  • Naloxone training
  • needle exchange

MIDAS is an integrated service. The Moray Council Social Workers and NHS Grampian Community Psychiatric Nurses and provides:

  • Advice and support for drug/alcohol users
  • Advice and support to young substance users (with the consent of parents/guardians if under age of 16 year)
  • Advice and support to people with complex health and social needs where substance misuse is a factor
  • Supporting other services who are working with people who have drug or alcohol related needs
  • Substitute prescribing
  • Information on how to access free needle exchange
  • Home detoxification, advice and support
  • Residential Detox and assessment for Rehabilitation services
